Griechenland / Athen. Eine päpstliche Delegation, angeführt von
Kardinal Walter Kasper nahm am Sonntag an den Feierlichkeiten zum
Gedenktag des Heiligen Andreas in Istanbul, dem früheren
Konstantinopel, teil. Der Apostel Andreas ist der Patron der Kirche
von Konstantinopel. Der Erzbischof von Konstantinopel und
Ökumenische Patriarch Bartholomäus I gilt in der orthodoxen Kirche
als 270. Nachfolger des Jüngers.
